Located within a conservation zone, in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Suffolk coast, this beautiful project was designed with respect for its listing on the local register and its vulnerability to flooding. The design took advantage of the need to rebuild the rear of the house, to raise ceiling levels from those of the original cottage to enable maximum views over the rear marshes. The use of coloured glass adds moments of unexpected delight as they catch the light.
